About Us

Associated Scales was previous known as Associated Scale Services. The change, very subtle, was needed as Associated Scales is a complete weighing supply company.

• 1991: The business was started as a two person small business in Kuraby Brisbane

  • Manufacturer of the PB3000 and PL3000 Platform Scales

  • Alliances with the precursor to Ranger Instruments, AND and Ishida

• 1992: Business moved to Rodwell St Cooper Plains Brisbane

  • Manufactured the TR Overhead Track Scale

• 1993: The companies first Trade Approvals

  • Submitted the Platform Scales and Track Scales for Trade Approvals

• 1994: Associated Scales Service both expanded the staff and moved to larger premises at McCotter St Acacia Ridge

• 1996: First Apprentice of many to work through Associated Scale Service+

• 1998: The business expands once again to have 2 shed withing the McCotter St Complex

• 2001: The company had expanded to 7 Staff

  • Calibrations division of the business was started

• 2004: The first international Business Relationship started with ANYLOAD. This relationship had endured to today and is still on the of businesses main suppliers.

• 2006: The Director Ship changed as too the Managing Director. The business direction was to be altered from a predominantly service company to a supplier of weighing system to the industry as a whole. With the backing of one of the founding Directors and a Technical Director new goals were set.

• 2007: Started with a push for new talent to grow the business with manufacture and the supply of weighing components to the industry was the predominate change.

  • New CNC Mill

  • New Quality Structures for Supply

  • Moved to a larger building in Learoyd Road Acacia Ridge

  • All while the start of THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL COLLAPSE

• 2008: Associated Scale Service became and A&D Australasia High Achiever.

• 2009: GSE became the companies new major International Supplier for electronic to allow for full customizing of system. This required a system programmer for the company.

• 2013: With GSE stopping production Associated Scales had the fortune to start a business relationship with the world renowned Rice lake Weighing Systems. This was the required collimation of supply to push the business to what is is now.

• 2015: The business started an only company ANYSCALES

• 2020: The management structure of Associated Scales moved for Directors to appointed Management and a corporate structure

  • Relationship with Dini Argeo (A Rice lake Company)

  • Moved Manufacturing to Wacol for Additional Space

  • The component store was increased to being one of the largest weighing component stores in Australia

  • COVID Started

• 2025: Associated Scale

  • Change the company name from Associated Scale Service to Associated Scales

  • Change the company Logo

  • Move both Head Office and Manufacturing to one establishment in Heathwood Brisbane.

  • Expanded the management Structure to ensure all facets of the company are addressed

Acknowledgements

Associated Scales management have many people to thank for assisting in the more than 30year of success but there a two who must have a special note.

Gary Gui of ANYLOAD who passed in 2023 was both a very dear friend and a special person who honoured a hand shack and always spoke in a positive way. He will be dearly missed.

Jose Matthews of Rice Lake showed that respect is everything and friendships, regardless of if they are competitors or aligns is always the most important aspect to business. It is always a pleasure to meet up with Joes.
